In 2015 I joined the Knifewear team to assist them with creating a strong brand identity, including logos, shop design and a variety of promotional materials. Knifewear is known for their irreverent and fun attitude, and they wanted to preserve that, while also looking more professional. I arrived with the personal goal of creating a book that explained Knifewear. What came out of that was the Knifenerd Guide to Japanese Knives, a 320 page book that elevates the profiles of their Japanese blacksmith partners in Canada, and around the world. It also educates Knifewear’s customers about the craftsmanship that goes into the products they sell. ❦
